Call for submissions: propose a talk, workshop or poster
For the 2026 event our theme is Who Owns Our Knowledge? We welcome any submissions relevant to this theme, and especially our highlighted sub-topics:
- The evolving tensions between generative AI and openness, and what we should do about it.
- Copyright at the breaking point: in a radically changing intellectual property landscape, how can we re-envision the system to protect research(ers)?
- Alternative formats of publishing and sharing research openly: including non-traditional research outputs, innovative platforms, open peer review, and more.
- How we preserve and share our data, how to credit and how to keep it safe from bad actors.
- How research on research can help us understand problems, test solutions, and measure progress.
Submissions will be competitive, but we are committed to representation across all career stages and types of roles in research, and encourage all to apply.
We welcome submissions in a range of formats.
