An article processing charge (APC) is a fee paid to a journal to make your research article open access immediately.
How to pay an article processing charge
The University of Oxford will only pay for your work to be open access through publisher deals or block grants. There is no central pot to pay individual APCs otherwise.
If you pay individually for an article processing charge, the University will not reimburse you.
If you or your funder are paying the charge directly, the journal will advise you about the payment process.
