RCUK issued on 6 March its Open Access Policy and ‘Supporting Guidance.’ 10 pages in all. Some welcome changes but not all we hoped for. Still very complicated. We are looking at whether the Oxford Policy on the Allocation of the RCUK OA Block Grant (approved by the Research Committee on 4 March) needs to be revised in light of this 6 March guidance. On 11 March the University Council will consider the Oxford Statement on Open Access.
