FAQ – Help

    • What support is available to me?

The decision about where to publish is an academic one you should continue to consult within your research group and seek advice from your Academic Leads, Principal Investigators and Directors of Research over appropriate research publication strategies. The Library is currently working closely with Research Services to develop information, advice and guidance to help with this decision-making process. This guidance will develop as we learn more from RCUK and from sharing approaches with others in the Russell Group and Research Libraries UK.

For individual advice, a good starting point is to email openaccess@bodleian.ox.ac.uk. Or contact your Subject Librarian. You can also attend an iSkills training session.

    • How are you going to tell researchers at Oxford about all these changes?

The main vehicle for information about Open Access at Oxford is this OAO website. This is being designed to provide comprehensive information about OA policies, how they affect Oxford authors, what you should do and where to find help.

You may also contact your subject librarian who will answer your query, or who will direct you to the most appropriate person or place to obtain an answer.

    • Can I follow a twitter stream to stay updated on new policies and guidance available?

Yes, you can follow Open Access Oxford’s twitter stream: Twitter.com/OAOxford

    • Can I contact a helpline?
