Wellcome Open Research is a new open access publishing option for Wellcome Trust researchers.
Researchers can rapidly publish a wide range of submissions, from more traditional narrative-based articles to incremental findings, methods, protocols, datasets and negative/null results.
Once uploaded, submissions pass through transparent invited peer review. They will then be indexed in major bibliographic databases, and automatically deposited in PubMed Central and Europe PMC.
Publication costs are covered through article processing charges, which are funded centrally by Wellcome. This means that Wellcome-funded researchers can publish without direct cost to them.
It uses the F1000Research platform. Its researcher-led approach is supported by an expert Advisory Board who have a strong interest in open research and in improving the way research findings are disseminated. Read more on the Wellcome Open Research website and FAQ, and the F1000Research blog.
